Velocity Series Launch Video
The opening intro video was all about SPEED. Speeding trains, cars, rockets, jets, boats and motorcycles all made their way (very quickly by the way) on to the stage and then off again, even more quickly. Velocity was speed personified. We even wrote the music and had it produced exclusively for this presentation.
The opening video was also going to be used to introduce the keynote speaker at the company’s annual sales and software launch meetings in Las Vegas. The Keynote speaker was Chuck Yeager, the first man to break the sound barrier. How cool is that!

The Story Behind the Story
The big news for the next version was that Siemens, the German multinational corporation had purchased UGS and the engineering software it had developed over the past ten years.
This project was the latest in a series of full scale, interactive product demonstration programs for Solid Edge and The Velocity Series, an engineering software suite for the SMB market. This version repurposes some elements from the original Velocity program as well as the inclusion of the new global Siemens Answers campaign.
A major effort was underway to rebrand everything produced for marketing to the existing Siemens brand elements and also the global ‘Answers’ campaign. We took that very seriously and got final approvals from Siemens for all of our efforts.
The central theme was still the same. “How do I deliver more innovations to market faster with scarce resources?” “How do I design faster than my competition with my current design team?” “How do I manage my engineering data and process efficiently with my limited IT resources?” “How do I validate my designs faster with my current engineers?” All the “Answers” pointed to the power, efficiency and value of The Velocity Series engineering tools.
